Day 5 of Juice Feast

Today is my fifth day of juice feasting and I am feeling fine!  I woke up at 5:30 am and went to Bikram yoga.  It was great sweating for an hour and a half.  I was able to do all the poses and felt awesome.

I’ve been having fun with all my different drinks. As a juice feaster, I am required to drink 1 to 1 1/2 gallons of juice a day.  My morning favorite is what I like to call Mushroom Madness.  I brew up 16 oz. of tea like rooibos or Teeccino nice and hot.  Then I add 6 capsules of Ron Teagarden’s Reishi mushroom capsules, 3 pearl capsules, 2 Chaga Mushroom caps, 1 heaping Tbs. Vitamineral Green Powder, 1 tsp. maca root powder, 1 tsp. cacao powder, 1 Tbs. coconut oil, a  zero glycemic sweetener called Lakanto ( or xylitol, plus lots of stevia to taste.  Then blend on high. It is thick, satisfying and a highly nourishing beverage that fuels me for the day.

The last 3 days, I have been drinking 1 quart of Orange-Grapefruit juice.  I save this for midday when I am feeling the need for an energy boost.

Green juice is still my staple. I don’t add lemon and apple anymore.  I do celery, cucumber and either kale or bok choy.  This is super easy to drink and doesn’t hurt my tounge.  Since I’m only on day 5, I choose to drink green juices that taste good and go down easy.

I’ve been coughing up some huge yellow flem balls for about the last 3 days.  Today, it seems better, even though I am still coughing some mucus up.  I slept on my BioMat last night and turned the heat up to 130 degrees so I would sweat all night which helped a lot.  I woke up at 5:30 feeling energized and fresh.

Daily enemas are a God send.  When toxins are floating around inside my body, I feel tired and a little cranky.  As soon as I flush my system out with a couple quarts of water, Viola! I’m feeling amazing.  I especially love doing a coffee enema on the days I’m feeling sluggish.  After 2 quarts of clear water, I put in a quart of freshly brewed organic coffee and hold it inside my colon for 15 minutes.  It doesn’t act like coffee does when you drink it, instead it opens the bile ducts and helps the liver to dump extra bile and toxins.  What a great way to get my day going!

I’m very motivated as I watch my body change and get more beautiful daily.  My tummy has flattened back out after my nut fest in So. Cal last week and all the indulging I’ve been doing since Dominic passed.  I put on an extra 7 pounds, and already that has melted away.  My biggest motivation is to let go of sweets and the excess yeast and candida that has niggeld at me for years.  I’m using this opportunity to let go of it for good, to stop the composting that is going on within my body and have a true, clean balance of all systems.  When I started eating raw foods in 1997 it was to get rid of Candida.  In 1999 the candida was gone and my body felt and looked fantastic.  Over the years I allowed sweets and carbs to creep back in and have paid the price ever since.  It has always been my intention to go back on Gabriel Cousen’s phase 1 diet which is explained in his book Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine.  On phase 1, I would consume no sweets (not even fruit) for 3 or more months.  But every time I attempted to follow the program, after about the 3 week point, I would lose all control and binge on anything and everything sweet I could find, ending the binge feeling empty and discouraged.  This has less to do with will power and more to do with the yeast entities in my body which actually affect the chemistry of the brain when they are starving and can actually make you think different thoughts according to some of the reading I’ve done about candida.

When I got the message from my angels to do this juice feast, I felt true guidance to really move into the life I’ve wanted for so long and now, with help from all my angels, I can truly set myself free from this addiction that has plaugd me for so long.  Some of the symptoms of yeast and candida are stomach bloating (to the point of looking pregnant), irritability, avoidance of responsibilities, avoiding phone calls and people, painful menstruation, vaginal yeast infections, itchy rashes on my legs and hands, and lack of tolerance for others.

  1. Elaina- Irish moss works great for getting the mucus out. Just soak the irish moss for a few days and then blend in a blender and eat a tablespoon of it. You will be amazed at how effective it is!


  2. Hi Elaina! Sounds like you are doing fantastic on your juice feast thus far. You are inspiring me to do this (maybe not for 90 days just yet), especially after reading the paragraph about the symptoms of too much yeast and candida. Wow. Sadly, that sounded much like me lately. Maybe a good cleanse IS in order. Keep us posted on your progress. You’re doing Awesome! ~Christy
